So, I've started to move stuff over to this site: http://web.mit.edu/bavetta/www/ It will hopefully be easier to update and add photos. I will make this page forward to that page pretty soon, as soon as I get the other page polished up some.

Arrrg! Rush is over and school has started. As a dorm, we did so much stuff for rush; built a roller coaster, 3-axis trainer, colosseum, tour guide cage, giant whack a mole, spinning seesaw, giant twister, huge hanging Jacob's ladder (double hinged toy - not electric toy), b a h4xor povec led solder kits which say 'east campus', 160lb concrete ECs throughout campus as 'art', motorized sofa, giant operation board game, giant hamster wheel, a chariot, 12' tall monkey bars, and a rock climbing wall with a slide on the other end. There were a couple of articles about the raft project that I was a part of, here is one: http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/2004/raft.html
Today we took President Chuck Vest out on it at nearly the crack of dawn and sailed around for a bit.
I've been continually cleaning my room, but somehow it gets more and more disorganized - ah!
Kabir finished the 3-axis trainer, and it's sweet - still deadly though, so we'll still have to fix a few things

Helicopters and policemen - that pretty much sums up Boston right now. LOTS of helicopters - big helicopters - small helicopters - loud helicopters. Continuous vigilance for the DNC. I finally finished the speakers from the IAP speaker-building class - they sound great and I'm happy. I'm sick now though, so that sucks. I built this big rectangular box in the back of my room about 4 feet square and 7 feet tall with plywood and 2x4s, and I don't know why I made it, maybe I'll make it part of a loft.

PICTURES!
So, I've been working this summer at the common sense group at the media lab (the people who run openmind) programing a visualization in Flash for some of the links which they have come up with. When I'm done with this I'll totally be able to make flash games - ya!
Some other stuff I've been up to:
Learning how to:
kiteboard
play squash
Building:
an eccentric (out of true) wheel (to power a scooter by jumping up and down)
a raft - for the 4th - it was fun:

it sank:
Oh ya, and I drove across the country a month ago

I'm back home now - here are some pictures from last term. In a couple of weeks I'll drive back to Boston with my dad who will bike down the Atlantic coast, then drive back when summer is done with Ankur Vikash and Smark - only to drive back once again in Smark's car. I went and visited my high school today and talked to a bunch of kids and teachers - Coleman says Toocomm needs to buy an electric winch - I think that's a good idea.

so, the power went out at MIT today - kinda funny since MIT has its own power plant and all. I'm going to Deer Island tomorrow, the city of boston's sewage treatment plant. I think it will be exciting. I have a few new pictures and I will add them here as time allows. we almost got a 22 foot sail boat, but I don't think we did. that is all for now, I will add to this message later
